Kersey R17 Prototype
The R17 Prototype
The R17 Prototype represents our latest innovation in guitar design, currently in development and testing phase. This working prototype was born out of wanting to make a model that was optimized for using a tremolo, as seen with a 6-in-line style headstock. This design reduces string friction and, coupled with Gotoh locking tuners, helps to keep this guitar marvelously in tune.
As the name suggests, the distinctive copper bronze finish and body contours were directly inspired by the Renault R17 prototype automobile, creating a unique aesthetic that stands out from traditional guitar designs. In its current prototype form, the R17 demonstrates exceptional resonance, versatility, and character—qualities we're refining before potential full production.
